Helix 7, Navonics or Lakemaster?
« on: Jul 18, 2017, 04:01 PM »
Hey guys,

Got my Helix 7 all set up and now I'm ready for charts. What do you guys prefer, Navonics or Lakemaster? I'm in Maine. Pros and cons of each? Do you get coastlines and rivers? Thanks for any advice. Would be upset to spend the money on insufficent maps.

I have Navionics plus
I got it for mapping in Canada
I couldn't find anything else 2 yrs ago that had Canada
My HDS units all came with Lake Insite
Most of my time I'm out on Lake Erie and some Lake Ontario in the spring
Lake Insite is fine for them
I really don't see too much difference on those two big lakes
The Navionics plus shines on smaller inland lakes and coastal waters.
And also Canada as I said
Is it worth $200?
I paid $169 from Cabelas on a late summer and early fall sale.
I still question the purchase
But in Canada it was worth the purchase
And I suppose that if I was on smaller in land lakes it would also be worth the purchase
