If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Last night we hit my sister and BIL’s camp for a little pot luck.
One of my other sisters and her BF came out to the lake to join us.
Donna and I made a large salad.
Lots of veggies, cabbage, and various lettuce.  Added apples, blue berries, and strawberries.
Also crumbly blue cheese.
Lastly, I sauté’d up 2 small bags of walleye cheeks and tossed them in for the required protein.
They had burgers, dogs, corn on the cob, and my sister Mary brought a really tasty broccoli salad.
Then we went and watched the sunset from my place.
Nice night!
Sounds like a nice evening.

Sounds like a good time was had!  But in the back of your mind "Wonder when I'll get the boat on the water?" kept playing........

Looks great ! I like to marinate them in orange juice, parsley, garlic and olive oil. Them baste them with the marinade on the grill. I use one of those expanded aluminum grill toppers. Gives them a nice crisp and a bit of citrus. Works well with perch too.

If you enjoy coconut shrimp, just buy a tube of froze pina colada mix, let it that a little bit and then marinade the shrimp with the mix.

Yummy and easy

Learned something very important last night at our campfire.

If you dunk your marshmallow in bourbon for a couple seconds before roasting it, it tastes way better on your S’More.
