Fluke in lemon butter sauce with fresh local sweet corn.

I also grew Shishito peppers in the garden this year. The plants don't take up much space but they have a plentiful yield. Grillled and dipped in my wife's home-made sauce for an appetizer.

The wife and I took a ride to Pennsylvania today for my 60th birthday. I've been  wanting to try Pimanti Brothers and it did not disappoint.  Corned beef , pastrami , swiss cheese , cole slaw and fries all stacked on toasted marble rye. The only bad part was it's 2 1/2 hrs. away. Fun day trip though.

Cherry glaze recipe PLEASE!
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Bought one of these for the camper.
It has a smoking feature and uses wood pellets!!!
Doing a prelim bake out right now to get rid of any manufacturing oils or solvents.
Will do pork chops on it tonight for the inauguration.

Cherry Cola BBQ sauce:
1 Cup BBQ sauce (your choice, I used Sweet Baby Ray's)
1 Cup cola (use coke, the real thing)
1/2 cup fresh cherries pitted, (more like 3/4 cup)
1/4 apple cider vinegar
2 tsp. hot sauce (optional, but why not)
combine all of the above heat to a boil, then reduce to medium-low simmer 30-40 minutes. stirring occasionally, until thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon.
   Love Mindy ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The chops were very good.
I failed to ignite the pellets, so no smoke.
But I figured out what I did wrong.
Tomorrow night we will cook something else on it to judge the smoke.
