I heard the equivalent of 200 barrels (however much that is) into the river. Brutal, regardless. Especially for a river the magnitude of the Red Deer. This river was one of the only big rivers Alberta WITHOUT a fish-consumption advisory. That's saying a lot, eh? Now it's screwed. The oil spill is bad news. I'm not surprized, but I am shocked & appaulled that these sorts of spills are continuing to happen out here in Alberta with little blame pinned on anyone.
