A year ago I took a trip to Alaska and fished on the Kenai I had never seen clearer water before. It was also very different from fishing in Wyoming. I stayed away from the crowds because i did not feel like being side by side to some other people. I had heard of the term combat fishing before but it was nothing like what I saw. I did manage to catch two good size silvers however i put them back. It took along time to reel them in with a spinning rod I cant imagine a hooking in to one of them on a fly rod. And a very nice video. In some of the shots you can see how beautiful the water really is.

Well it is almost that time again.
The middle river has opened up, the lower river is still ice covered.
The Kings are starting to show up in the salt water along with the Halibut.
