Xmas Eve
« on: Dec 19, 2023, 10:15 AM »
Last year, on Christmas Eve, we invited our neighbors over to our house for some holiday fun.
We decided to do it again this year.
My late brother's wife, my SIL, is coming and so is my aunt (she is also my Godmother).
Also coming is my youngest sister and her husband - they bought a place last year in the park next door to us.
They bought a real "fixer-upper" after Ian and have been coming down here occasionally to work on it.
They won't be retiring for 4-5yrs or so but thought this would be an excellent investment.

Anyway, Donna and I have been planning our eats and beverages.

So far -

Food -
Pizza rolls
Chex mix (homemade)
Cheese, meat, and cracker tray
Everything bagel chips and a homemade dip
My sister - shrimp and cocktail sauce
Bowls of assorted nuts and candies
Xmas cookies - Donna has been baking for about a week so far.
Little smokies in bbq sauce - my favorite!!

We know the people will all be bringing something, so there should be plenty.

Drinks -
Iced tea
Various sodas and mixers, both reg and sugar free
Bottled water
Reg beer
Lite beer
Craft beer
Premade 187ml margarita bottles of various flavors
Tequila and limes - of course!
Jameson
Vodka

Starts about 6pm or so, but we will have the door open until at least midnight.

All are welcome.

Feliz Navidad!

Miss party’s like that with all my parents old Italian relatives.  There all passed now but boy us kids had a blast sneaking adult beverages and dessert before it was supposed to be served..😎😎😎😎😎

Time for you to start your own Xmas Eve tradition Dom.

Just decided on what I’m cooking for Christmas Day and New Years Eve dinners.

Christmas Day dinner - homemade mac n cheese.  Special request from Donna.

New Years Eve dinner - shrimp cocktail, smoked country ribs and smoked baked beans.  I’m thinking I’ll grill some fresh veggies to complement the ribs and beans.  Maybe veggie shish kebabs.
