Need help with an ice auger (won't be long)
« on: Aug 19, 2010, 10:04 PM »
I have a manual ice auger that has a blade that is bent. Anyone know of someone in the Rochester area that repairs them? Thanks, DL

It is the lower half of the main auger. Not the blades. It is a Strike Master

Thanks guys for the help. Ended buying a new one on ebay for $20.00 plus shipping. It is getting to the point that not many things are worth repairing anymore. cheaper to buy a new one. Thanks again. DL

O you bent the auger shaft itself. Could try heating it and bending it and straight with a vise and some loving with a big hammer

It would never be the same. Buying a newer used one was the right choice. Once their bent, they just don't work right even if you think you got it back to shape.
