Meat on a stick!  Nice!   ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Awesome fish NYdeerslayer! That's gotta be a well kept secret spot, with good reason.. is the 4th fish in from the left a rainbow?? Looks different than the rest (no white on the leading edge of the fins/pinkish stripe on its side). Fantastic looking brookies tho, are you sure you weren't up in Maine when you caught those? Lol

Thanks,  yes that is indeed a rainbow mixed into the bunch! Also yes it's definitely NY,  they were hitting well and with temps dropping a good bite should continue until season closes on the 15th. I'm going to try getting back out at least once before that.

Nice looking fish!  I made my way up north as well last weekend.  Didn't get as far back into outback as I had hoped but found some fish to play.  Have some pics posted on the 'Old Farts with Flyrods' chat...

It was a beautiful weekend to be up there.

Does anybody ever get back into Spruce Lake anymore? My father and I flew in there with Paynes seaplane service many years ago, I was a young kid, barely interested in fishing at the time, but it was a very memorable experience. I saw the photo this weekend of me and my uncle holding up at least 20 bookies on a long stick, the real Adk stringer. They don't allow seaplanes to land on it anymore.. anybody still fish there? How the heck do you get in there?

Fished over the weekend at Squaw and Indian Lake in the moose river Plains. Fished hard all day long and caught 2 small ones at Indian on Saturday, caught 0 at Squaw on Sunday - not even a bite. Tough year for me, hope I do better this year on the ice!
