Lake Erie Bass & Perch
« on: Oct 02, 2005, 06:12 PM »
I haven't got out much this year but today today we launched out of Sturgeon Point and had a blast catching these fat perch with my buddy Rich.  All were caught on minnows in about 52 f.o.w.

Twenty two all together and we also got a couple silver bass and small sheephead.

Rich's big fish.  I didn't measure that one but it's almost 15"

Me with 2 nice ringbacks

The bass were caught about 3 weeks ago at the mouth of the Niagara River in about 28 f.o.w. on a crayfish.  It weighed over 6 lbs on a spring scale.  My personal best.  (As a side note this was the first double header on Richs' new boat the "Put it in")

BEEAAUUTY BrownMuscle!  6 lbs, WOW!!
Oh Lord - there he is, it feels like a big one, please don\'t let me lose him, I\'ve never caught one this big before.  I\'ll try not to horse him, and if I land him, I promise to release him, and make a graphite replica, if my wife says it\'s ok.  Thank you for the Rapalas...

Thanks for the props guys.  That lake kicks a$$.

I only needed to take 5 of those perch.  I gave the rest to Rich.  His kids got all excited when they called us while we were still on the lake and found out Dad was bringing home crispy critters. :thumbup_smilie: :clapping:
