World class mule crappie on T.H.E. Jig
« on: May 23, 2007, 09:04 AM »
One of my customers Mike Schaumber drills this beautifull male on T.H.E. Jig.
He said he was at this bass tourney and all he could think about was going back for more of those mules.

You can tell this one is a male as he's turning black.

Do you tie T.H.E. jigs?  Looks like marabou over a no collar jig head. 1/32 oz maybe...

I tie my own for use on trout.

Great pics  :D

Yes I tie them.I have been for 7 years and have just gone public with them.

i use 32nds down to 100th's on a no collar jig.
I buy the heads in bulk ,then I'll paint the heads with a double eye and tie then glue them so they'll last several hundred if not a 1000 fish.

Good stuff - looks like they work great...

Agreed.
I've deleted all I can except the pics.
I'll say this those fish did not need a piece of meat to entice them to bite.
A small hair jig did it all by it's little self.
