How's Your Spring Been?
« on: Jun 22, 2010, 12:58 PM »
Been a slow spring for us... took quite a lot of work (I call it work, but it's definitely not!!) to find walleye on Lake Newell.  Eventually found them after searching for 4 days where we've never found them before.  The rivers and streams are all chocolate milk now, and we didn't have the usual successes that we've had in the past in April and May.  We did expand our horizons though, and have added some new water bodies to our arsenal.  Likewise, we've added to our species list with Grayling.

So, how's everyone else doing?

Slow spring and early summer.

Catching good numbers of trout on Muskiki, Fairfax, the upper Pembina and Mcleod...not much size though.

Just got back from Yoho, caught some nice ones in the Kicking Horse, Emerald Lake and Sherbrooke Lake.
