Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road........

Cardinals, bluebirds.....both are around all winter 

Yea, but the ones I saw each had a tiny set of golf clubs.

My bluebirds have been here all winter. I feed them with a mealworm/ seed block. They were in and out of the box all day today.

In all my years outdoors, I've never seen a bluebird here in the winter. It's nice to know. The sparrows are claiming nesting spots in my daughters barn. So close.

We have a few blue birds that stick around all winter. Its warm and sunny out and there out there singing now.. Wish i had some mealworms for them..
Theres also a flock of robins that hang out in the swamp all year.. 
But i have seen 2 turkey vultures in the past couple weeks. Little early for them...

Woke up this afternoon had about 40 robins in the tree out front!!! They looked confused with it snowing here!!! Think they lost spring!!!

I saw some cardinals there Wednesday in the snow during my visit.

Yeah cardinals are here all winter too - I have 7 pairs (male and females) at the same time at my bird feeders every day. The closer it gets to spring the less tolerant they are of each other.

Wow - cool about the turkey vultures - I've been looking for them - there are 20-30 that roost on a radio tower all summer close to our house but they haven't showed up yet - that usually more a sign of spring around here than anything else

The woods that surround our house are thick with wild grapes - the robins have been in and out of there all winter - and crapping out Welch's grape juice as they go  :-).

Skunks are my sign for spring...haven't seen one here yet....but I did see a lone buzzards the other day.

When i see my first hummingbird in the greenhouse for me..

I see tobins all year in Dutches county as well as blue birds and cardinals are always here i put up a woodcock yesterday next to my house and there is definitely a raptor migration going on

Do they take up residence in the greenhouses? I had a friend who worked at a greenhouse who talked about how they would basically attack her at night, when she would go water the plants.
