I am thinking about buying a x67c for summer and ice fishing?  Any suggestions on if this is a good unit for on a boat.  I know they rock on the ice.

They work fine. The only problem is screen size. When used on the ice, they are right in front of you, on the boat, they may be (generally are) a few feet away. This makes it difficult to see detail. For the boat, I like nothing smaller than a 5" screen.

Works great for both only suggestion I have is to get a tranducer for it that goes on you boat instead of the icetranducer.

well I bought one for this past hard water season.  now i am going to look for a transducer for a boat.  going to buy a little fishing boat to play around in this summer.  going to go with a suction cup mount I beleive.

I've been using an X67C through the ice and off a boat for about 4 years now.  Works great both ways!  No issues whatsoever.
