i am using dead smelt on the bottom, how are you doing it? and, any tips would sure help me. thank you

I use dead smelt on bottom only early in season. Then usually about 1' up, adjusting higher until I get action. 1' usually does it best for me, though.

I like to set my bait a little higher, maybe 3-4' up, and I use a large slip bobber to keep it up off the bottom.

Sounds like you should be giving advice, not asking for it. Good to know you're catching so many!
