My dad's cousin told me about using big streamers for pike. I have never really given this much of a chance. Although pike fishing is much different in colorado (slower and more difficult do to the fact that the lakes are deeper, the weather is more extreme, and the sun is in closer proximity to the area (due to elevation, and far brighter), I think that the same streamers or any other flies you guys use for pike would have similar, although fewer, results because it is a slow, wonderful presentation.
What size, what colors, how do you fish them in this case, etc?
