Big stonefly imitations work well this year.  Nice brown.  Is that OPST lazar line I see?
if it's the fly line your talking that is cheap tactical anglers line. better than what came on the cabelas combo.

Ah...I tightline and use spey line instead of flyline and thought you had the same setup.

Let's get this party started.

Fished right next to my office at lunch, caught 3 in about 30 mins.

Wow, that's an impressive performance, particularly this early in the season.

Remind me - - Is work closer to the Housatonic or the Farmington?

Next to work.  A co-worker walking on lunch took a couple shots.

I returned after work and landed 4 more:

Nice work Jon.  Can't wait to make some casts without having to deal with iced up guides.

I got out on Saturday and Sunday as well.  Saturday I explored some new water.  I knew the Westfield would be running high this time of year so I drove up well past where I typically fish.  I knew the stocking trucks had been there earlier in the week and the flow would be more manageable.  I did a lot of exploring and found some very promising spots but there weren't too many fish around.  I finally connected on a fat rainbow using an olive bugger but it slipped out of a hole in my net before I could get a pic.

Sunday I fished a little closer to home and had the same results.  One rainbow on a chartreuse woolley bugger.  Def a stocked fish as its front fin was pretty beat up.

Only pic I managed...
