He's fishing on top of a dam.  I know exactly where he's fishing, and have done the same many, many times.  The trout bite well on corn down there...   Stupid stockies...    I lost the biggest brown I've ever hooked right below there 3 or 4 years ago.  Hopefully you'll catch him!  That place get's a crazy sucker run...I've been up there a few times where the suckers were so thick it looked like you could walk on em.  Have fun!
