Mainly trout, but there are splake and kokanee there too. It was so windy when we got there that we could barely keep the boat straight. For a little while there were 2 foot swells on the lake. In several hours of fishing, we only caught two rainbows, each about 14 inches. We usually do pretty good there, always catch a lot of 12" to 16" fish, but this time we got our butts kicked.

I think we are going to try Eleven Mile this weekend. Hopefully, we'll see more than one fish apiece.

I thought I would bring this classic back to the top!

So anyone going to venture out and wet a line? No. Just stay at home and read the same old posts on my fish finder and not contribute to the chit chat. That's O.K. Or are you one of those weekly outing fisherman and peruse the forum and keep it to yourself.

I like reading my own posts better anyway.

I am going to the mile on Sunday. To fish for trout. And then post my adventures here for all to read.

Re: This Weekend

I arrived at the mile at 8:00 and we were fishing by 8:30 pretty slow till 9:30 and at 10:00 the bite was on! Two limits by 11:15. Nothing to write home about but better than the guys who rented a boat for who knows how much and didnt even get a bite. We brought two home for dinner and they were great!

Yeah Ive noticed the bite rarely begins b4 9-10am. Usually when the bugs start rising the trout start biting.

Going to Wolford August 21-23, camping at Wolford, and fishing for the Kokanne, might see if I can scare up a pike.  That is if there are any left.  Wonder what the lake level is like?
