Title: Pennsylvania Bear (trout) Trip
Post by: WillerLeaf on Nov 23, 2017, 07:30 PM
Spent Friday through Tuesday for the PA black bear rifle opener in central Pennsylvania.  Saw turkey, elk, fox, bucks and does...no bears.  Sunday is a no hunt day so my buddy "guided" me on Kettle Creek for trout.  My first trout on a fly rod.  Caught 6 and he got a couple from the bank.  Could've spent the weekend catching them!  Despite not connecting on a PA bruin I got everything else you could ask for at hunting camp, plus some bonus fish.  Patiently waiting on the ice.  See y'all at the shanty.

Sounds like a great couple of days in the outdoors.  I didnt realize they have elk in pennsylvania.  I remember a few years back seeig one in either kentucky or tennesee on our way back from gatlinburg.
