Well, this is about the time of year I consider the peak for largemouth fishing. Once the season opens until about late July has always been my most productive time of year in the lakes and rivers in this area.
Seems that all you have to do is get near some weeds or wood, and the bass are all over soft plastics and topwaters. The fish just do not seem to be as aggressive once August hits.
I guess my point is that if you want to try some new tactics for bass fishing, this is the time of year to do it. Good Luck!
