Southern NH Bass Fishing Woes
« on: Jun 18, 2004, 05:09 PM »
Anyone having luck on Bass in southern NH? I'm getting a few each time out but it seems as though they should be totally popping by now. Has it just been too cold? Seems as though the Stripers and freshwater bass have both been a little hesitant this spring. Last night caught a nice one on my live crawdad first cast than nothing for the next 2 hours? What is going on? Anyone have some location ideas? I have been to Mendums, Swains, Pawtuckaway and the water seems more than warm enough. Thanks all.-V

PS. The stripers were definitely on this morning so I am hoping it is a sign of things to come with their freshwater cousins.  :)

It's not just you noticing it V.  The fishing in general has been pretty slow this spring/early summer statewide.  I have been having a very slow start this openwater season.  See the most recent fishing report from Fish and Game...

Hit Swains again last night. 1 nice LM from canoe. I have seen more ducks out bass fishing than bass. My canoe-mate caught 2. Woowee! I have to think it has to do with the temps.-V ???
