Smallies in VERY Murky Water
« on: May 06, 2013, 03:22 PM »
How do you do it? I have heard of people catching them around where i live, (Petersfield, Manitoba) on Netley Creek, but the water is way too Murky, and you got like 30 different species of fish in there, so i was wondering, where would you go, what would you use...i would really love to catch a smallie this year

I would go with dark colored jigs, dark crank baits and dark rattle traps. Also find a lure that will make the most erratic movement with your retrieve to get the fishes attention even in the murkiest conditions. Good luck.
