down imaging vs tradition sonar. lowerane or humminbird?

Thoughts? Preference? Experience? I'm leaning to down imaging but not sure. Fishing deeper resisviors with not a whole lot of structure like rampant,the mile, and catamount not sure if down imaging would be better. What say u fellas.

Don't have one myself, but was on hand when in another boat with one and thought it was pretty neat, happened to look over and there was a perfect profile of a walleye
and yup in the right area.
