Flint Lake
« on: Aug 17, 2017, 10:50 AM »
Went to Flint lake this AM and trolled 1/16 oz jigs/twisters over 10' of water parallel to the shorelines and randomly found crappie.  Ended up with a limit minus one as I apparently have trouble counting to 25 so I ended up with 24 with the largest at 13" and lost several reeling to boat.  Was going 1.5-1.8 mph and got a little wet as showers moved through from time to time.  I noticed that even though I did get a little wet, I did not melt.  Just a nice 2 hours on the water before the rest of the world begins - enjoy the day...

Nice to hear of your luck with the presentation and location. I'm planning a visit to my favorite crappie lake soon using a similar technique. I usually start on the crappie late Sept into Oct and on but last year on this lake it seemed I was alittle late. My first trip was my best trip. A few cool nights and they must move right in.
