Wooster Lake (Potato Creek State Park)
« on: Oct 09, 2017, 07:48 AM »
I was at Potato Creek State Park on Saturday and at their East Boat Launch there was a lot of activity. Someone launched their canoe but their truck started to roll backwards. Story says that he got into the truck and applied the brakes but in doing this the brake line broke and the truck went into the water. We went elsewhere to fish.

DON'T forget to use your emergency brakes and/or chock the tires when on the ramp.

Finding any wipers?
Two weeks ago I spoke to a couple of boaters that had done quite good. They averaged 14 - 17 inches with a couple close to 20 inches. All cpr.  East end of lake.  Last weekend was really bad due to the high winds.  Saw quite a few boats out in the wind trying to catch some fish.

A couple of people I talked to said they were looking for some places to ice fish and marking them on their maps.

Many people do not realize there are free contour maps of the lake at the Information Center and maybe the Front Gate. Great maps - no. Somewhere to get started - yes.
