Trolling motor issues
« on: Oct 13, 2017, 10:00 PM »
Has anyone had problems with older trolling motors petering out on them? I have a 07' motorguide pro 70 24v and it has done me well over the past 7 years but has recently started to peter out in me over the past month or so. I was wondering if any of you have had the same problem and if it might be the brushes? Batteries are good, they are 1 yr old interstes and checked good. To cheap to buy a new one at the moment.

Is it a pain to change yourself or is it better to just take it in? Who would work on them? Local electric repair?

Get a hold of the manufacturer and see what they say...... ;)
