Last week on erie
« on: Apr 29, 2018, 06:19 AM »
Was out on erie all of last week with a few buddies.  We camped and launched out of turtle creek and had a blast fishing the big water.  The eyes were biting well, and the jig bite is about as good as its going to get right now.  We caught limits everyday... and did a lot of catch and release. Most of the fish are 16-18”. eaters.  We did manage a handful of 20-24” fish.  The lake is loaded right now if anybody wants to go get em.

One day we spent a little bit of time river fishing the sandusky river for something different.  Its def.  not as crowded as the maumee is.  We caught a handful for our efforts.

Its great to see the fish finally starting to wake up.  Im planning on hitting some crappie spots here in the next few weeks

Never ate a walleye, that makes me sad!  Way to tear them up tater!  Look forward to being up there in June.  My uncle finally got his boat put back together.  Had a charter on Sat but only got 10.  Fished in 3-5 footers.  Some guy sunk his 18 footer in the channel at wild wings and they couldn't get out for a while.  I guess if your going to sink your boat, a couple hundred yards from the ramp in the channel is the place to do it!
