Have never missed. Way to many people have lost their life to keep our country free which in turn gives us the freedom by which we can vote. Not to vote is also a right but when a hitler or stalin or castro or ho shi! min or mao or putin or any of the many other idiots come along you would wish for that right to vote and someone to vote for. I hope God continues to bless this great and free country!

I have never had to offer more of my life than a few minutes at the polls for our freedoms but many many others have giving all. Thanks you Veterans and falling hero. I hope my small contribution shows my respect.

Thanks guys, good to do our small part. It is amazing how many aren't even registered. But when it comes to politics it is funny how much they complain. If you know the issues and have a favorite then you need to show you care and do your part. VOTE...

I've never missed a vote either except when I didn't sign the back of my absentee ballot back when I was in college. (Found out later due to that my vote was nil).

Fishogger, Im sure glad to see someone else besides me is living in the 50s. We were and still are real close to sociialized fishing if that certian party wins many more elections. You catch 100 and have to give 95 of those crappies to those that couldnt catch any because they were busy marching in the streets protesting how the vote turned out.

I see people giving away hundreds of bluegills to people without fishings licenses just for the bragging rights and they're too lazy to clean them.  Is that socialism?

"I see people giving" is charity, their choice, not yours or anyone else telling them to.  Have to give mandated by the government is socialism. I see a fisherman is forced by the government to give away hundreds of fish he caught to other people just because they are to lazy to catch their own fish or whatever their excuse might be. Socialism      The hundreds of bluegills caught by anyone is their fish to do with as they please. I have no say so in what they do or should the government. I can draw a conclusion on right or wrong but it should have no bearing on what others do with their catch.

lol no i wasnt alive in 52 taxi. i can still see the danger lurking in policies though!  the erosion of integrity, morals and values in society are unfortunately coming out in the politics more these days.   

I forgot we are nearly the same age and neither was I.

You got that right about integrity, morals etc.

But we better get back to fishing. You know what happens here when we start down that other road.

I was alive in 54 and you got that right about America's morals/values going down the tube. You forgot entitlement, to many want to set along the bank and expect working fisherman to walk by and drop a free fish into their bucket. They're to lazy to go fish for themselves.

As for voting in the primary I never have and never will, I'm independent and never voted a straight ticket. But for the first time since I was 18(46yrs ago) I may vote a straight ticket in Nov.. All one side wants to do is cut holes in the dip net ,  obstructionist.

Agreed..... God blessed us, our boat motor had quit and the storm was about to blow us out to sea. A Good-Ole-Boy stopped and got it started for us, hope it keeps running for the next 6 yrs.
