Cheshire Lake and South Hoosic
« on: Oct 14, 2018, 04:38 PM »
My younger son and I went fishing this afternoon.

Mostly sunny but cool (55 degrees).

We started fishing 1st Lake of Cheshire from the causeway.

I caught a dozen sunfish but my son did considerably better. In addition to a half dozen sunfish, he landed a 10" pickerel and a big (3 lb?) but oddly sick-looking largemouth bass.

(The bass was blind in one eye and had the piscine equialent of scabies).

Then we headed to Adams and fished the South Hoosic from Old Stone Mill to a little below Elm Rock.

We each caught a 12" rainbow (nearly simultaneously) at Elm Rock, while I caught a 14" one below the waterfalls a little downstream from there.
