Surprisingly Slow Day
« on: Oct 20, 2018, 05:27 PM »
My younger son and I went fishing today - - first on the NW Housatonic in Pittsfield and then at Cheshire Lake.

The weather wasn't too bad - - kinda overcast, but fairly mild- - with temps around 55 degrees - - although the water levels on the NW Housatonic were a bit higher than I expected.

As the caption suggests, action was slow. My son caught a couple small perch, and I caught a perch and a dace, on the NW Housatonic, and I caught three sunfish on Cheshire, but that was it.

Quite a contrast with our experience on both bodies of water the last several times we've gone there.

As an aside, I noticed no one else was fishing Cheshire Lake from the causeway when we were there. (They must have known something we didn't).
