Walleye Derby on Quinte
« on: Apr 29, 2006, 04:10 PM »
Has anyone ever entered the walleye derby that is held on Quinte every season. This year it runs May 6th and 7th and looks like there are a ton of great prizes.

I'd be interested in hearing about experiences anyone has had with it.

Looks like they also get a ton of people, the site says that the first 5000 anglers get a free gift.

I dont really want to talk about it.    :( :( :(

but i will tell you i got skunked.

my dad picked one up sunday.   eater male.

Tail Dancers, Reef runners, Mann's , worm harness's, jigs, bottom bouncers, lindy rigs, i couldnt buy a fish.

most exciting part of my week-end was my favorite tail dancer getting bit off by a pike, and i had a killer bite jigging in deseronto.  felt like the plug of the lake on the upswing,    spit.....   and then the crying.

going back for redemption this week-end.  not gonna sleep this time.
