We booked a site at a local campground on a lake..... There is also a brook that runs through the property. Yesterday when we got here I kayaked around the lake a bit and saw a lot of fish rising. I was set on trolling around with my sinking line and a streamer. Apparently that was the wrong plan I got nothing. So today I swapped out my spools tied on a new leader and tippett and broke out the dries. Waited until 7 for the lake to turn to glass and paddled out. Saw it rise laid it out there a few feet from where I saw it and boom...... Fish on. Jumped out of the water and peeled some drag. Great finish to the day. Walked the stream and got a few wilds too.
