This is from my friend Reggie who fishes and hunts up there quite a bit. Hope it helps. Reggie is a good guy too so if you see him up there all drunk at McDonald's in Millinocket just say hi.

You can go up through Greenville, Kokadjo and north to Golden Road, up
Telos...
Or you can go in at Millinocket on Golden Road to Telos Road...
Or you can drive up to Route 11, to Ashland, and take Realty Road...
Not much difference either way, time-wise...plan on six or seven hours
from Augusta...but if I were trailering, I'd go to Ashland, stop at the
One-Stop for a slice of pie and final provisions, and head in through
6-mile gate.  Watch out for moose.

Looking at the web site it looks like a good place to fish. Some Muskie fishing would be ok. And what about those White fish.

I would highly recommend a trip bee, they were fantastic to us.  It was my first experience with whitefish and although 3+ were our best ones, they are a very spirited fighter for their size and tremendous table fare.  Ross is generally considered one of the best whitefish lakes in the State.

Go in from ashland. If you go Telos it is very rough from haymock north to spider. I was there just over a week ago.
