Title: Walleyes in Mississippi?
Post by: Fat Boy on Apr 15, 2004, 04:33 PM
Alright Otter, you gotta put me on some of them Mississippi walleyes when I come visit ya.  The state record is 9.66 pounds out of Tennessee River near Iuka.  Is that close to you?  Now that you have a good selection of tackle from walleye fishing up my way, you should be the new Mississippi expert on those real soon ;D!

I was doing some checking on various web sites.  Seems like Mississippi has some pretty good fishing opportunities!

I'm here, and I'll get to work on the Mississippi walleye fishery, LOL!  Actually, I've read about it a bit and there is a Southern subspecies.  The Tennessee river is up in Northern Mississippi near the TVA lake chain, probably 4 hours from here.
