Catfish Recipe wanted
« on: May 22, 2006, 08:29 AM »
Have taken a few channel cats over the years as an incidental catch; all released. This weekend I targeted them, and took one . A 28 incher that I have filleted out.
Could always bread it and deep fry, but wondered what alternative recipes you catfishers may have?
Thanks

good traditional way is to bread and deepfry....but try this!.....double layer some good foil.....spread fillets and smother with lots of fresh sliced green onions.....dice plenty of fresh tomatoes.....dump a load of fresh garlic into the mix...season to whatever you can dream....wrap tight and place on the warmer rack on your bbq for at least 45 minutes on low heat.......open......open wide....and enjoy with a cold glass of your favourite beer....Grump....oh...plenty of fresh steamed greens on the side  ;D
