no way!! around here bullheads is some of the best freshwater meat besides them trout!!

yuck! it must have sumthin to do with the different areas, water etc, i know how u feel, ive heard about fisherman saying the same thing about perch, it shocked me! Perch is the best eating fish around here ;D it was just a joke :laugh: lol

Like most other members have said,   just cut through the skin 360 degrees around the hed grab a pair of plires, latch onto the skin and pull, on fresh bullhead it goes pretty well.    After that pull the fins off, the anal usually will pull of pretty easily.

I filet mine just like I filet perch.  You lose more meat but it's a lot easier.
