Stolen Stringer of Catfish
« on: Jun 20, 2005, 05:22 AM »
Just curious, when I go out catfishing I always keep 2 or 3 fish to eat.  Well, Friday night I was out about 5 pm and all was going well.  The catfish were hitting on good ole night crawls.  Through out the course of the night I had kept 3 fish that were around 3 pds.  Well, when I pulled my stringer out of the water to go home, all that were left was the heads.  The turtles had struck with avengance.  Anyone else had this happen?

Sorry, Treed, but I think that's kind of funny!
I had something similiar happen when I left a stringer tied to a dock overnight.
I have no idea who the culprit was.

Devil man

It is funny now, but I can say I wasn't laughing Friday night.  Guess I'm going to have to invest in a 5 gallon bucket.  :)

Grump - Nope no otters, some beavers but no otters.

TrophyHunter - What technique do you use to bleed them off?

Chop meaning waves? Yes.
The fish were pretty much dismembered.
I hadn't thought of otters. We do have muskrats  ???
