First of all a disclaimer for all of you that may not know: I raise trophy size game fish primarily sold whole frozen to a taxidermy market. I'm not comparing my pond fish to any fish caught in public waters.
This female was found nose up in shallow water having issues passing her egg strand. I get a few of these every year.
Anyway she was on her way out so I scooped her up. They never make it when they have issues like this.
3.26 pounds; 15 1/4 inches in length; and 13.0 in girth. Measured on a board and weighed on a digital scale that matched my certifiable scale.

Some of the eggs broke off and I had to weigh them separately, and add them to the weight of the digital scale. That is what you see on the measuring board.

Ha Ha! I will probably mount this one for myself as part of a stringer mount for my music studio. If she had been intact I could have got a couple hundred dollars for her for someone to cast. Not sure if there are many state records that are over 3 lbs. if any.
