Hi Fish-Wayniak,

Thank You for that information about the launch ramp at that campground.
Gee, $5 or $10- to launch huh...
I hope it's $5.00.....

What do they use to fish at Azis. Lake, bait-wise I'm asking.
Do worms still work?
Which lures do they use, today on our Maine Lakes?

I'm just getting back to Fishing after many years off from it, so I've GOT to ask.

Have you ever been WAAAY up to Parmachenee Lake?
Does the same dirt road that takes you up to that campground and the eastern side of Aziscohos Lake take you WAAY up to Parmachenee Lake?

I'm intrigued about going up to that Lake, possibly also.

Thanks for your reply!

Why do people rape and kill them (ruining a great fishery) instead of earning it and finding other fish? I live on Kuhn. One day I come home from work and see them making beds. The next day I have 5 boats in front of my house and not a gill to be had. Those fish never had chance to spawn. Now my niece and nephew have no desire to fish because people don't care. People see beds and clean them up. Then they complain about it years down the road that it used to be great. The one good thing about this is that people can't read. They just sprayed the main lakes for weeds. Consume with caution !!

Scapes starting on my garlic already. I’ve been watering heavy with this really dry weather. Probably be harvesting in a few weeks.

Mmmmmmm! Fresh garlic!

Sent my son a text with pics. He said to help the first one out of the trap. Told him there’s no way I’m gonna grab that turtle. She got there….she’ll get out.

I forgot to mention boot requirements.
My shoe size is 12E
I spoke with Orvis and their width is D.
The gentleman I spoke with told me to visit the local Orvis store and bring heavy socks. He said that size 14 would likely fit.
Anyone out there with big wide feet like me?
Comments please
John

My dad has the widest feet I’ve ever seen and has to special order boots and shoes. He went up a shoe size for wading boots, and the cabelas cheapo boots fit him well enough like this. Any decent shop with boots for sale should have a neoprene sock you can try and use to simulate a pair of boot foot waders. I will say my SIMMs freestone boots I got last year run tight on my feet, and I have a single E foot.

Ive owned all lines of simms, they all leak at the seams. 2 pairs of freestones 3 pairs of g3's two sets of g4's.  I wear thermal simms pants underneath for the cold weather.

As far as waist vs full waders, full without question.  Wading pants are too easy to flood.

This ^

Half waders/waist high waders, whatever they are called a death trap in moving water. I’d be dead right now if I wore those waist waders vs full waders with a GOOD wading belt.

I also prefer the breathable waders in cold. Layers underneath in the right weight and you’re good for all temps.

For brands/types I would go one of two ways. Spend as much as possible and get the best wader you can buy, or go yo an LL bean outlet store and search for one that fits. When it leaks go buy another pair.

Hi, You can launch your boat at Black brook campground . It’s about 1/4 of a mile off Rte 16. I think they charge $5 or 10 .
