Thanks for all the input. It looks like more homework ahead.
The project ahead includes a 300 gal tank that I can rent for 100 per year,  Installing  a manifold to feed the generator and grill, dig trench for propane line and another trench for power to house (i will do that with my backhoe),. Generator install by vendor to be determined.
22kw generator install prices are running in the $11,000 range.
The good side is no more food loss and all electric will work as normal

Tried fishing a small body of water today that is reported to be infested with small Bluegills. The only winner today was that strong cold wind.  Aughhh

One problem I have with the tall boots is that sometimes the back off the boot will catch on the bottom of a tree stand seat. This only happens with my ladder stands and it makes no matter what brand. It is actually a little unnerving to try to stand up cautiously and find your foot stuck.  kinda sucks.

I didn't do much in the way of fishing (a "haul" of just 2 perch and 2 sunfish after about an hour or so on the water this evening), but two friends and I were successful on our first foraging expedition of the season earlier today.

We picked a lot of ramps (which we expected) and even a small amount of fiddleheads (which was a surprise for so early in the season), as well as Japanese knotweed shoots (taste like rhubarb) and various assorted greens.

I also saw a bald eagle (although that was while I was fishing Fish Pond later on).
