crappie tip

i have been finding them shallow on the rocks... just started to find them yesterday, my hot spot has been very dead this year so i have ventured around. well i gotta go clean this mess i got. oh and the lake i fish i never catch black crappie, half or more are black i got off the rocks.

Where are you fishing? All the big crappies I have been finding are in 12 FOW. The small ones are moving up to spawn but the big mammas are still staging their way up.

south of des moines, was catching good sized ones full of eggs in the middle of april
