....i'm up and truck is loaded...in search of the all elusive bluegill....i'm loaded with enough foam flies my flyvest can now be rated  by the USCG as a pfd ...i have nymphs  ...  extra leaders, tippet material ..almost forgot my  box of may flies!!!! every pocket is full and i have clippers, forecipps ,leader strightner, clipers, reading glasses all hanging off my vest....i have things i'll never use ...no idea why i have them other then i have places for them on this vest ....i have a knot tier ...what the heck is it???? i don't know where i got it ,no idea how it works , and no idea who would want one .....but if you do ...it's in my vest top right pocket.... i justt feed the addiction ....all the gear and  hardwares only purpose is to keep me occupied  till  i can fish .....then i forget about leader strightners and knott tiers ..... all order is lost on the first rise..... the world  is swiped away  and replaced with rings on water and a bent rod.... life  is good!!!! have  great days guys

No RG?????

I had my day yesterday. Man I'm glad I decided to stop working Wednesdays. I was on the canal at 4:30 am playing with the bass on some clousers (Thanks to Trapper for that valuable info)

Got rained off around 8:30 am. Went back home for breakfast and it started storming like crazy. So what do I do? Grab the fly chaser and beat feet for the stream. I reckoned that the rising water might turn the fish on. I hid under a bridge as the main thunder and lightning passed over me, accompanied by torrential  rain. I started tossing a good sized chartreuse and white clouser and BAM....smallmouth...and again....and again and yet again.

The biggest was close to 3 lbs and with the fast water they fought like hell.

I tore myself from the water and beat feet for the golf course to play my league with my friend Packerbacker. We made it around 9 and the skies opened again washing us off the golf course (good thing...we were stinking up the place with our play).

Got home, ate and went back to the stream with the ultralight and some rooster tails. Pounded out another 6 or 8 bass, some rockies, a couple of bluegills and tail hooked a good sized carp.

You're right Trapper...."Life IS good"

Can you believe that some people actually don't fish or play golf? I don't understand :-\

RG
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
