This one was held in with small fine thread hex head bolts. Had to spray the crap out of them and use the vice grips to get them started, then the 8mm nut driver to remove. Yeah even a 1991 American made Jeep has metric bolts and nuts everywhere. Well at least a healthy dose of them, except the chassis. What still gets me irate is the auto manufacturers with more than one production plant outsourcing parts from different manufacturers.
To get a part for your vehicle you basically have to pull the part and match it up. Just because you have a '91 and I have a '91 doesn't mean they have the same parts on them. Depends on where it was built, and where that plant bought the part. Pain in the BUTT!! I'm going to have to wait for the pump to be ordered. LOL, so what else is new. I sometimes wish I wasn't able to do most of my own work, and was rich enough to have others do it for me.....as what ever they charge is worth not having the hassles!!
And yes KP, though we may stray from the subject matter of the original post, we do have some gems of wisdom to pass down.....well maybe not gems, but at least pretty rocks.....

WOW, you guys must not use much salt up there....a 91 is unheard of in CNY, unless it's stored in the winter. The style pump I was referring to didn't start till somewhere around 95-96. I do remember your style though. Very similar to toyota's, maybe even "borrowed" from Toyota. ;D
