Next time I get over there, I will stop in and check out the "not so manly" Isles then, god only can guess what I will come home with! I promise to make ya's all proud though. My focus as of late have been these fall Waldo's though.

I was gonna type some lachrymose response :'( , but....I've had a bunch of fun with this thread too. I did more fly fishing this year than in the last 10, largely in part to good conversation with other like-minded people.

I'm kinda in a transition now. I'm ready to hammer the perch, but I've been dedicating time to my sorely neglected gun collection. My little Sako Vixen .223 is getting a much needed makeover and my other goodies are clean as new.

Anyways,
Thanks guys. This was fun....even with Gamma kicking around ;D

Could I interest you in a pair of early Sako Finnbears....One in .308 and the other a custom barreled .264 Ackley Improved ?  :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:
Actually, I'd never part with them !    Had both since the mid 70's when I was a young lad !   Plus, the .264 AI is a very nice Taliban eradicator ! ;) ;D ;D

No thanks. I barely have time to think about the toys I have now, The Vixen was my Father-in-law's.Near as I can tell , it was purchased in 1961.  Left to me when he passed. It's such a sweet shooting fire arm. Sub MOA at 200 yds...(with the right reloads ;D)

It's a chuck, fox and Yote eradicator. I've had a 6.5 x 20, 50mm Night Forces scope to mount on it for about 5 years now. The stock was in need of inletting and bedding. Perfect time to refinish. Time I get it done.

Heck...I might even go shoot it :-\

I've been playing with my Grandson. He and his mom (my baby) are visiting for a week. We went to Chimney Bluffs today.

Awesome place.
