If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I'd take him with me, but he would be confused by the lack of "UP/Down" buttons on the ladders.
Good news about Cortland's store. I can't wait to be in the area.

No... but, it looks like Cortland bought the Diamondback line(from vermont). A little searchin and I found these same blanks for 60 bucks, still a good deal but 40 is better.  ;D
I cant find anything wrong with this blank after looking it over. They had rods built on the same blank for 80$. I asked the guy if we could string one up and put some bend in it? - "sure, no problem". I didnt go outside and cast it but I liked the flex - med/med-fast. Im not a huge fan of real fast fly rods...
I have a friend who wants a fly rod made for under or around 100$. This fits the bill...

Further research found that Cortland has brought back a Diamondback glass blank, these are not those though. I'd be interested in checking out one of the glass blanks...

p.s. - they had a TON of fly lines at great prices...
Also a 7ft 6in med-fast spinning rod that fealt great for only 30$ - gotta be mass produced over-seas...

You should really put a micrometer on that blank before they are all gone...

A CS900 went on ebay a while back for $23.90. They were a nice crappie rod. I had a 9' St Croix Premier that I liked pretty well too. But it self destructed after 25 years of abuse. The tip lives on as an ice rod ;D

I'd love to throw together  2 and  4wt glass rods for dries. I think it may be a good Saturday afternoon road trip.

You didn't happen to notice their hours did you?
