This Jr. 'Ol Fart took KP Jr. out yesterday for 1/2 day...man, that's what serenity sounds like!!  :) Hey Bob, went to the smallmouth hole we fished with you at! Lot's of fish and no takers...went to the bridge as well....low water...lot's of fish...no takers...Oh well...who cares! Time well spent. ;) The smallmouth hole end of that river has opened up considerably....the area has changed quite a bit!! Hope to be able to take you to the new area of water I have come across this year!! Life Is Good!!--KP 8)

I think the smallies in that hole are too well fed. They're immune to anything artificial >:(

We're getting a good dose of rain. The backyard stream is going to heat up quick. I gotta get my project done and get after those carps.

15-20lbs tops Lots of smaller ones 5lbs and up. They're a challenge for sure.

The Martin is an old Fiberglas. Not that it's a bad thing. I love my glass rods. They're soft and very forgiving.

The reel is another classic. I have one in the collection. 3rd from the right, second row up.

RG

Beautiful old fly reels rg...I found my old Ocean City, which was my first ever fly reel , I bought it and my fenwick glass fly rod together back in '67 which i had mentioned a few weeks back.Used it on my first bamboo too, a few years later.and for many years there after. It is still in perfect working order...a real workhorse for 7 bucks or so!!

I'm fishing my way through life .

Yeah, if only the streams here weren't still swollen like the March thaw from last weekend's 5+" of rain!
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.
