rg....what do you use for eyes, bead chain or something else?
Lead, bead chain, glass, tungsten whatever you like.

Here's what I had in my boat today. There's a few clousers there.

A bunch actually.

Not "Fly Drier"......."Whistle Wetter"  ;D

After posting that I was thinking...almost all of my after fishing or boat project pictures are ads for Heineken. You'll notice though, there's never a Heineken in my fishing pictures. I either have a beer or fish.....never both at the same time.

Nah Trap..It's one or the other.

Bronze Trout.....Fly Rod...... :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Went out with the boat really early this morning...really early. O dark 30 .   Got 5 nice smallies on brown and white clousers. Switched to #6 red wigglers and nailed a couple more of those funny bass with teeth and the white tipped tail. Then I tossed some more flies around some stuff and added a few good crappies to the stringer. Great morning. Done by 7:30.

Came home, cleaned fish, went carpin' on the canal. 1 for 5 :-\. Gotta improve my technique.

Trap. I had one on that ran like a freight train to the East. Couldn't turn it at all I finally had to stop and break it off.  It got way away from me, 100 yards or so. My mistake. You gotta get control early.

Anyway, it's fun hearing the reel scream ;D

How much backing do you put on your fly reels RG ,Trap ?

No real exact science or amount... when backing and fly line are on, I want the reel full.  ;D

I was gonna say that!

I use orange braided something or other off Ebay. It's cheap enough that I can put too much on to start and then take off what I want till it's just full enough. You'll know if you've got too much.
