Hey Steve, you're alive :clapping:

Thought about you last Thursday. Flew your flag for the Fourth. :flag: I put it up Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July. Other than that, it's in the safe. I've always appreciated that gesture.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I'm working up some new foam fly indicator patterns. Some smaller stuff for the 2wt. "Fun With Foam".

Well...I was suffering from "Flyfishingitis" this afternoon...streams around here came up a lot over night with all the storm...so...I grabbed the ole Pfleuger 5wt and went exploring.

Spent a few minutes on Google Earth researching a local stream. Threw my stuff in the little red truck and departed on expedition. I drove in the general direction of a stream I knew about but never fished. Got in the stream and started to chuck some flies. Took about 30 minutes to get a pattern down. Smallmouth and big fallfish were the willing takers.

Is there anything better than picking a piece of water out of the air and then using your fishing experience...hand tied flies and home made leader to actually catch fish?

Priceless I say.

They grow to about 16" in this particular stream. Very aggressive feeders.
