It's an easy addition Trap. Seems the best thread is the Orange. For some reason the Uni in hot pink and Chartreuse tends to fray. As far as lasting... the first one I made is still on one of my 5 wts. 3 full years now. I've been gradually increasing the thread counts and testing them on different rods. I twisted one up for the "Boo" and a 7wt Cortland Sylk line that was like magic.

I'd enjoy showing you how to make them. They're really easy and for a fly tier, it's a natural.

Hey Trapper just had to let you know that i caught my my first fish on a clouser , it was a small lmbass . I have to say i thought i was casting well untill i tied that clouser on. Man those flys are tough to cast ! Hate to ask , but how do you fish clousers?

well  went  down  to the  river, bluegills were  stacked in the  marina  but  i had  some  help with me  from one of my future  ole  farts , this is  one  of my little  fishing partners ... weather she  uses  a untra light or the old mans  fly rod  she loves  bluegills   ;D

LOL!   I had a BASS partner like that once!
     One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

got  some fish time  in before  the  rain ,the  cold front  pushed  the  fish  deep  so i was  letting the  nymph  drop  to  just about the  bottom most  takes were on the  drop about  18 inches  from  bottom ...  ended  up with a  good  dinners  worth  and i see  rain is here  now  ;D
