Nice Brown Gump! It's always nice to discover those little spots that most fishermen wouldn't give a second look at. Did you catch that fish on the infamous "Brookie Buster"?

Rg,

I do have some Tiemco 200R hooks... but all I have at the moment are 14's and 12's.

12's will work if the shank is long enough. Give it a shot. What's the worst that can happen ;D

Too dang hot for me. Went out Sunday morning real early . Had lots of fun with the gills in the creek with a few bonus smallmouth and a good sized largemouth that took one of my mini buggers. Wading deep was very refreshing.

Other than that I've been making use of my bumper crop of tomatoes. Mmmmmm! Salsa  ;D

And........... I've been learning to play my Taylor's new Baby Brother.

I'm now officially addicted to the Ukelele.

Finally was able to put about a full day in fishing.  A friend invited my to fish the upper Genny with him this past weekend for smallmouth (passed on the trout as the water temps were getting to warm in our opinion for successful releasing after a fight).  Bent some old Lamiglass.  What an incredible blank for these fish (an S-glassSFL 1027s) .  Too much fun !!!  What a great body of water and fishery.  I don't nearly take advantage of it as often as I should...work seems to get in the way   :'(

I'm guessing the first bridge south of Portageville?

If so, I was in the same spot last Friday. Water was still up and cloudy so I opted for the ultra light. Quite a few smallies. I also went further south to Fillmore and Belfast as well. Love that section of the Genny.

Glass is good ;D

A little further upstream....Angelica  ;)

First light there was a cloud of tricos above the run we started at.  My friend picked off a few browns early on them...
